We have been working with Harry for the past 2 years since Year 11 and we are extremely impressed with his work. In just the first term our daughter doubled her marks in her first exam and since then has maintained steady progress in not just maths but her other subjects too. Would highly recommend!

I'm Harry. By day I'm an actuarial consultant. I also tutor HSC Maths in homes across Sydney's North Shore and Eastern Suburbs, and online.

Working With Children Check: WWC3091000E

  1. I didn't go to a selective school. Like most students, I tried the big tutoring centres and switched from one to the next, but nothing worked and I fell behind quickly.

  2. A private tutor taught me how to learn. I realised maths is a game of pattern recognition, and I built the study systems I still use today.

  3. I stopped tutoring and developed my own strategies and resources. By the HSC, my resources were widely used by my peers, and they're still relevant now.

  4. 97 in Maths Advanced (Band 6) and 47/50 in Extension 1 (E4). The same exams and syllabus your child is working through now.

  5. I use maths every day at work. Over the past three years I've tutored 30+ students, who have achieved 15+ Band 6s in maths and 30+ Band 6s in total.

Maths is a puzzle, not a talent.

A tradie picks the right tool for the job. A student picks the right formula. Memorising formulas is easy; knowing which one to use is what earns marks, and it can be taught.

I teach students how to learn, not just what to learn, so they aren't dependent on a tutor.

Question 1 of 4

Differentiate y = (2x + 1)5

Which tool would you reach for?

Every lesson, in your home.

What 90 minutes looks like.

  1. 1
First 30 minutes: homework and revision.I test what you learnt last lesson to check it's actually stuck, and we fill any gaps before moving on.
  2. 2
Next 60 minutes: new content.Theory, then questions. Theory, then questions. I'm there to break down anything that doesn't click.

Support doesn't stop when the lesson does.

What's included

  • One-on-one lessons in your home
  • Worksheets for every topic
  • A large library of past papers and topic-by-topic questions
  • Consultations outside lessons
  • Messaging support between lessons to keep you on track
  • Help with uni applications and thinking about career paths

Built for students who are ready to put in the work.

This isn't a shortcut, and no one can buy marks. It's for motivated families, and for students who want to build study habits that actually stick.

Read the fine print in the FAQ

The questions parents ask on the call.

Questions, answered.

How much does it cost?

Lessons run as term programmes, priced per term. I'll go through the options on the free call, once I know what your child needs.

What does a term include?

Each term includes 10 lessons of 90 minutes in your home, plus up to 10 optional one-hour online sessions for homework help and exam preparation. You also get worksheets, past papers, consultations and messaging support between lessons.

Which suburbs do you cover? Is online an option?

I tutor in homes across Sydney's North Shore and the Eastern Suburbs. Online lessons are also available if you're further away or prefer to learn from home.

How is rank measured for the guarantee?

We compare your child's class rank at the start and end of the term, using their school reports or assessment results.

What counts as "doing the work"?

Attending every lesson, completing all homework and set work, and sharing school results so we can measure progress.

What if we miss a lesson?

With at least 48 hours' notice, you can reschedule a lesson. Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice, or missed without notice, are charged and not refunded. This keeps lesson times reliable for every student. Genuine family or medical emergencies are the exception.

Is Year 10 too early, or Year 12 too late?

Years 9 and 10 are a good on-ramp before the HSC years. If your child is already in Year 12, the free call is the best way to see what's realistic.
